Abstract
Mahetoit on tuntud just tervislikkuse, koostise ja toiteväärtuse poolest.

Organic food is known for its health, composition and nutritional value. Organic farming is an ever-growing branch of agriculture; in Estonia, too, the area of organic farming land has increased until 2020. In the current era of the green revolution, more thought could be given to greener and healthier lifestyles. Consumption of organic food as a free food additive is healthy. The most important bottlenecks in the results of the work are raising awareness of organic food, both in relation to labeling and in relation to the principles of organic farming in general, why organic food is important. Secondly, the price of organic food has remained an unchanged obstacle, although it cannot be changed immediately, but it should be noted that this will require major policy decisions, such as support for local organic producers. It is very important that organic production and the share of organic land in Estonia are maintained or increased, that biodiversity and ecological balance can be maintained, and that Estonian organic producers can also be competitive on the market. In order for organic food to be produced according to demand and the customer's wishes, it is important to know how aware the consumer is about organic food and what his or her expectations are.
