Tartu rattaringlus pakub teenuse kasutajatele võimalust kasutada teiste transpordivahendite asemel keskkonnasõbralikumat varianti. Auto asemel kasutatakse ratast ning omavahel kombineeritakse ühistransporti ning rattasõitu. Uurimistöö eesmärk oli välja selgitada, kas Tartu rattaringlus on linna turismi elavdanud ning turismiobjektide külastatavust suurendanud. Töö käigus püstitati kaks hüpoteesi, millele loodeti saada kinnitust: rattaringlus on vähendanud Tartus autode kasutamist; rattaringlus on parandanud turismipunktidele juurdepääsetavust. Kokku osales uuringus 162 isikut. Andmete analüüsist tuli välja, et rattaringlus on Tartu turismi elavdanud ning turismiobjektidele juurdepääsetavust parandanud. Turismiobjektide külastatavus on suurenenud ning inimesed kasutavad oma igapäevategevusteks autode asemel rohkem ratast.est
For tourists and locals, Tartu Bike Share offers an environmentally friendly transportation option instead of other means of transport. People prefer riding a bike instead of driving a car and usually combine public transport and cycling. This research aimed to find out whether Tartu Bike Share has revived tourism in the town and increased the number of visitors at tourist attractions. To achieve the objectives, one research question and two hypotheses were put forward, which were hoped to be confirmed. Research question was: has Tartu Bike Share made it easier to move around town and how it has influenced the number of visitors at tourist sites? Hypotheses were: Tartu Bike Share has reduced car use; Bike Share has improved accessibility to tourist attractions. A quantitative survey method was used for the data collection. This approach enabled to reach to a wide range of respondents who belong to different target groups. To receive answers, an anonymous compile questionnaire was prepared, and people were also questioned on the streets. The questionnaire was distributed to various social media groups and the survey was also shared on Tartu Smart Bike’s Facebook page. A total of 162 subjects participated in the study. The purpose of this thesis was fulfilled. The analysis of the data revealed that Bike Share has revived Tartu tourism and improved the accessibility to tourist sites. The number of tourists in tourist attraction points has increased and people use more bicycles instead of cars for their daily activities.eng
