Abstrakt
Mets on üks Eesti tähtsaim loodusvara. Aastarõngastesse talletunud infot saab kasutada
pikaajaliste keskkonnamuutuste mõju analüüsimiseks ning vastavalt majandamis - ja
kaitsestrateegiate aktualiseerimisel. Käesoleva bakalaureusetöö eesmärgiks on uurida
looaladel hariliku männi, arukase ja hariliku kuuse radiaalset juurdekasvu puursüdamike
andmeil ning analüüsida kliima mõju.
Töös kasutatakse augustis 2014 toimunud välitöödelt kogutud puursüdamike mõõdistamisest
saadud andmeid. Kliima andmed on pärit Kuusiku meteoroloogiajaamast. Hariliku männi
puhul on uuritavaks perioodiks 1926-2014, harilikul kuusel 1926 - 2014 ja arukasel 1940 -
2014.
Proovid mõõdeti Lintab mõõtmislauaga ja ristdateeriti visuaalselt TsapWin programmiga ja
statistiliselt COFECHA-ga. Andmed standardiseeriti vabavara R paketi dplR vahenditega.
Kliima ja radiaalse juurdekasvu vaheliste seoste leidmiseks viidi läbi korrelatsioonanalüüs.
Töö tulemusena koostati kronoloogiad männile (periood 1913 - 2014), kuusele (periood 1913
- 2014) ja kasele (1940 - 2014). Samuti leiti seosed kliimanäitajate ja radiaalsete
juurdekasvude vahel. Peamiseks puude radiaalkasvu soodustavaks faktoriks olid
vegetatsiooniperioodi sademed. Temperatuur oli kasvu soodustav vaid männi puhul,
temperatuuride limiteeriv mõju esines neljal juhul.
Töö tulemusi saab kasutada edasises analüüsis puistute produktsioonivõime prognoosimisel
ekstreemsetes kasvukohtades.
Forest is one of the most important natural resources in Estonia. Information stored in treerings can be used to analyze long term effects of environmental changes and accordingly used to actualize management and conservation strategies. The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to study Scotch pine, Norway spruce and Silver birch growth in alvar forests and to find the relationships between climate and radial increment. Increment cores were collected in august 2014. Climate data was received from Kuusiku meteorology station. The observed period of Scotch pine was from 1926 to 2014, Norway spruce from 1926 to 2014 and Silver birch from 1940 to 2014. Samples were measured using Lintab and cross dated visually with TsapWin program and statistically with COFECHA. Data was standardized using R package dplR. Correlation analysis was used to find relationships between climate and tree radial increment. As a result chronologies were built for pine (period 1913 – 2014), spruce (period 1913 - 2014) and birch (period 1940 - 2014) in alvar forest. Also the relationships between climate and increment indeces were found. Precipitation during vegetation period was the main tree radial growth promoter. Pine trees radial growth was statistically positively influenced from temperature, the limiting effect was found in four cases. The results of this thesis can be used in further analysis to predict tree stands production in extreme site types.
