Abstrakt
Antud bakalaureusetöös on uuritud repellent Trico efektiivsust hirvlaste poolt tekitatud
kahjustuste vastu männinoorendikes. Eesmärgiks on katsetada uue repellendi tõhusust
kaitsmaks noori puid ulukikahjustuste eest. Uurimine viidi läbi Saaremaa lääneosas ning
katsealad kuulusid RMK Saaremaa metskonnale. Töös kasutati 20 liitrit repellenti Trico ja
aiapritsi Stihl. Katsealasid oli 3, mis omakorda jaotati 30 m laiuselisteks ribadeks, mis olid
vaheldumisi repellendiga pritsitud ning pritsimata aladega.
Uurimuse tulemusena selgus, et repellendiga töödeldud alades esines kahjustusi rohkem kui
kontrollalades, seega ei saa väita, et repellent oleks mõjunud efektiivselt. Siiski olid töödeldud
alade ja kontrollalade kahjustuste protsendilina vahe kõigest 0,79%.
Current bachelor's thesis investigates how repellet Trico affects cervids in young stands of pine. The aim of the investigation was to test how well the new repellent is able to secure young trees from the damages cervids may cause. The investigation was conduct in western part of Saaremaa and the test areas belong to RMK Saaremaa forest district. 20 liters of repellent and liquid sprayer Stihl were used in action. There were 3 test areas, which were divided into 30 meters wide sections. The sections were sprayd with repellent by turns. As a result of the study, it turned out that the areas sprayed with the repellent received more damage than the control areas, therefore the repellent cannot be considered effective. However, the difference in percentage of damage between sprayed areas and control areas was only 0.79%.
