Abstrakt
Kliima mõju ja puistu kasvu analüüsimine on tähtis teema paljudele teadlastele, kes tegelevad
ökoloogiliste protsesside uurimisega. Aastarõngastena puu tüvedesse salvestunud info on
leidnud mitmekülgset kasutamist keskkonnaseisundi muutuste hindamisel. Käesoleva
magistritöö eesmärgiks on uurida lehiste kasvu ja analüüsida kliima mõju radiaalsele
juurdekasvule Sirgala tasandatud põlevkivikarjääri puistangul.
Puursüdamike proovid koguti Sirgala karjäärist euroopa (Larix decidua Mill.) ja jaapani
lehistelt (Larix kaempferi (Lamb.) Sarg.). Proovialad jagati kolme gruppi: euroopa lehised,
jaapani lehised ja segapuistud (euroopa ja jaapani lehised). Lehiste aastarõngaste laiused
(eraldi vara- ja hilispuidu osad) mõõdeti LINTAB süsteemiga. Peale mõõtmisi puude
aastarõngaste seeriad ristdateeriti. Esmalt ristdateeritakse visuaalselt TsapWin programmiga
ning statistiliselt ristdateeriti programmiga COFECHA. Käesolevas töös kasutati
aastarõngaste naturaalväärtuste standardiseerimiseks ARSTAN programmi kui ka vabavara
R-i. Töös kasutati t-testi (keskmiste juurdekasvude võrdluseks), korrelatsioonanalüüsi
(radiaalse juurdekasvu ja kliima vaheliste seoste analüüsimiseks), näitaasta analüüsi
(ekstreemsete kasvuaastate doteerimiseks) ning kattuvate ajajärkude analüüsi (häiringute
mõju analüüsimiseks).
Kliima mõjutab väga olulisel määral lehiste juurdekasvu Sirgala tasandatud põlevkivikarjääri
puistangul. Teistest kliimanäitajatest eristusid positiivsete mõjudega temperatuurid kasvuaasta
oktoobri- ja novembrikuudel ning vegetatsiooniperioodil, samuti aasta sademete summa, mis
soodustavad lehiste radiaalset juurdekasvu. Jaapani lehiste varapuidul oli statistiliselt oluline
positiivne seos vegetatsiooniperioodi esimeses pooles. Kõigil kolme katsegrupi lehiste
hilispuidu ja vegetatsiooniperioodi temperatuuride ja sademete ning aasta sademete vahel
ilmnes statistiliselt oluline positiivne seos. Tulemused näitavad, et euroopa lehised on
paremini kasvanud kui jaapani ja segapuistu lehised. Segaaladel oli kliimanäitajate poolt
vähem mõjutusi. Positiivsetest näitaastatest eristusid 1973 ja 2008 aasta ning negatiivsetest
2003 aasta.
Study of climate effect and tree radial growth is very important for many scienctist, who are dealing with studies of ecological processes. Tree-rings are saved in trees as pattern with important information, which is used to evaluate changes of environmental conditions. The aim of master thesis is to study growth of larch and to analyze effect of climate to larch radial growth on abandoned oil shale quarries in Sirgala. Samples of increment cores were collected on abandoned oil shale quarries in Sirgala from Larix decidua, Larix kaempferi and mixed stands. Sample sites were divided into three groups: Larix decidua, Larix kaempferi and mixed. Tree-ring width (also early- and latewood) were measured with LINTAB system. After that tree-ring series were cross-dated. First were crossdated visually with TsapWin and then statistically with COFECHA. In this study was used ARSTAN and R for standardization. Also was used t-test (to compare mean growth between groups), correlation analysis (to analyze relationships between radial growth and climate), and pointer year analysis (to detect extreme growing years) and superposed epoch analysis (to analyze disturbances). Climate is influencing statistically significantly radial growth of larch trees on abandoned oil shale quarries in Sirgala. From other climate factors game out positive effect of temperature in October or November and in vegetation period, also annual sum of precipitation, which promote growth of larch radial growth. Earlywood of Larix kaempferi had statistically significant positive effect of temperature in the beginning of vegetation period. All larch three groups, latewood had positive effect with temperature and precipitation during vegetation period and with annual sum of precipitation. Results show that, Larix decidua was growing better than on other sample areas. In mixed sample area are not so important climate factors. From pointer year analysis were positive years 1973, 2008 and negative years 2003.
