Abstrakt
Haavapuitmassitehase peamised jäätmeliigid on puukoor (46,15 %) ja aktiivmuda (44,56 %),
mõnevõrra on ka saepuru ja sõelmeid. Praegune jäätmekäitlus omab problemaatilisi aspekte
ning ei ole tehniliselt ega majanduslikult kõige paremini organiseeritud. Töö eesmärgiks on
uurida puitmassi tootmisest tulenevaid tahkeid biojäätmeid, nende omadusi ning võimalust
kasutada jäätmeid biokütusena. Töö käigus vaadati üle Eesti puidutööstuse jaoks uudset
kütuse tootmise tehnoloogiat, mille abil on võimalik saada haavakoore, saepuru, sõelmete,
aktiivmuda ning nende segust homogeenset biokütust ning katseliselt hinnati nende sobivust
energeetika valdkonnas. Katsed viidi läbi Eesti Maaülikooli puitkütuste laboris vastavalt
tahkete biokütuste standarditele.
Main waste types at aspen pulp mill AS Estonian Cell are: aspen bark and activated sludge, also aspen sawdust and screening residuals to some extent. Currently, waste management is technologically and economically not well organised. Objective of this thesis was to study combustible wastes of the pulp industry and evaluate their potential as biofuel. A novel waste-to-biofuel technology was studied in this thesis. It allows to produce homogenous biofuel from aspen bark, sawdust, screening residuals, activated sludge. Laboratory experiments were performed according to biofuel standards at Estonian University of Life Science’s lab of woodfuels to determine the properties of wastes and evaluate their quality as biofuel.
