Abstrakt
Magistritöö püstitatud lähteülesanne on leida läbipaistvate värvidega viimistletud puitfassaadidele optimaalne hooldusvälp meie kliimas.
Autor ei leidnud hooldusvälpade arvutamiseks ühtegi juhendit või standardit, mistõttu on see uurimistöö vajalik mitmele osapoolele, et saada aru, kas praegused soovituslikud hooldusintervallid on meie kliimas sobivad või mitte.
Autor püstitas hüpoteesi, et Eestis ei ole võimalik anda pikki hooldusvälpasid.
Praegu annavad värvitootjad viimistlusainetele ligikaudse hooldusvälba vahemiku, sest see sõltub puidu kvaliteedist, geograafilisest asukohast ja hoone kasutusotstarbest ning see võib jääda vahemikku 2–12 aastat. Puitu viimistletakse tavaliselt kahte moodi: tööstuslikult (värvikambrid, viimistlusliinid jne) ja kohapeal objektidel käsitsi pintsliga (näiteks ehitajad). Uurimiseks valiti teine viimistlemise variant ehk käsitsi. Puitu viimistleti läbipaistvate värvidega (tuntud nimetus on ka lasuursed värvid) ja katsekehade värvikulumist mõõdeti laboris iga kuu vältel vastava seadmega. Katse periood oli 11 kuud. Võrdluseks tehti katseid ka kliimakapis, et näha, milline vahe on katsete tulemustes välis- ja kunstlikes tingimustes. Kasutati kolme meetodit: laboratoorsed mõõtmised, visuaalne vaatlemine ja Cross-cut-test. Laboratoorseid mõõtmisi analüüsiti kirjeldava statistika meetodil ning Cross-cut-test toimus vastavalt EN ISO 2409 standardile. Tulemusena selgus, et läbipaistvad värvid kulusid kuni 7%. Visuaalse vaatlemise tulemusena selgus, et heledad värvid kulusid rohkem, mida kinnitas ka laboratoorne mõõtmine. Uurimustöö tulemus kinnitas hüpoteesi, et Eestis ei saa anda pikki hooldusvälpasid ning autor jõudis järeldusele, et soovituslik hooldusvälp Eesti kliimas võiks olla 3-5 aastat.
The objective of this master's thesis was to find the optimal maintenance interval for wooden facades finished with transparent colors in our climate. The author could not find any guidelines or standards for calculating maintenance intervals, making this research paper necessary to better understand whether or not the current recommended maintenance intervals are appropriate for our climate. The author hypothesized that it is not possible to provide long maintenance intervals in Estonia. Currently, paint manufacturers give an approximate maintenance interval range for finishes, as it depends on the quality of the wood, the geographical location and the intended use of the building, and it can range from 2 to 12 years. Wood is usually finished in two ways: industrially (paint booths, finishing lines, etc.) and on site by hand with a brush (builders, for example). The second finishing option, i.e. manual, was chosen for the study. The wood was finished with transparent paints (also known as glaze paints) and the paint wear of the test pieces was measured in the laboratory every month with the appropriate equipment. The period of the experiment was 11 months. For comparison, experiments were also carried out in a climate chamber to see the difference in the results of the experiments in outdoor and artificial conditions. Three methods were used: laboratory measurements, visual observation and cross-cut test. Laboratory measurements were analyzed using the method of descriptive statistics, and the cross-cut test was carried out according to the EN ISO 2409 standard. As a result, it turned out that the transparent colors were worn by up to 7%. As a result of visual observation, it was observed that light colors had more wear, which was also confirmed by laboratory measurement. The result of the research confirmed the hypothesis that long maintenance intervals cannot be given in Estonia, and the author concluded that the recommended maintenance interval in the Estonian climate could be 3-5 years.
