Sporditaristul on ühiskonnas oluline roll liikumisharjumuste tekitamisel ning tervema elanikkonna toetamisel. Sporditaristu arengu raames on Eestisse ehitatud kokku ka 13 täismõõtmetes jalgpallihalli. Töö probleem seisneb küsimuses, kas ja millistel tingimustel on Eesti jalgpallihallid majanduslikult jätkusuutlikud.
Töö eesmärk on välja analüüsida Eesti jalgpallihallide majanduslikku jätkusuutlikkust.
Uurimustöö tugineb jalgpallihallide haldajatelt kogutud finantsandmetele ning arvamustele jalgpallihallide majandusliku toimimise kohta. Töös kasutati mitme üksikjuhtumi analüüsi. Täpsemalt kasutati erinevaid majandusanalüüsi meetodeid ning suhtarve. Töö käigus analüüsiti viie erineva jalgpallihalli näitajaid aastatel 2021 kuni 2026.
Tulemused näitasid, et jalgpallihallide jätkusuutlikkuse tagamisel on võtmetähtsusega energiakulude juhtimine. Energiakulud moodustasid jalgpallihallide kogukuludest enam kui poole. Samas selgus ka, et energiakulude prognoosimine on keeruline, sest need sõltuvad suurel määral ilmastikuoludest. Samuti tuli ilmsiks, et jalgpallihallide tulubaas koosneb peaaegu eranditult vaid rendist saadavast müügitulust ning sihtfinantseerimisest. Jalgpallihallide majanduslik jätkusuutlikkus sõltub suurel määral kohalike omavalitsuste toetustest ning turupõhiselt ei oleks hallide tegevus jätkusuutlik.
Sports infrastructure plays an important role in society by fostering physical activity habits and supporting a healthier population. As part of the development of sports infrastructure, a total of 13 full-size indoor football halls have been constructed in Estonia. The problem addressed in this study lies in the question of whether, and under what conditions, Estonian indoor football halls are economically sustainable. The aim of this study is to analyse the economic sustainability of indoor football halls in Estonia. The research is based on financial data collected from the operators of indoor football halls, as well as their views on the economic functioning of these facilities. A multiple case study approach was employed. More specifically, various economic analysis methods and financial ratios were used. The study analysed indicators from five different indoor football halls over the period from 2021 to 2026. The results showed that managing energy costs is of key importance in ensuring the sustainability of indoor football halls. Energy costs accounted for more than half of the total costs of the halls. At the same time, it became evident that forecasting energy costs is difficult, as they depend largely on weather conditions. It also emerged that the revenue base of indoor football halls consists almost exclusively of rental income and targeted funding. The economic sustainability of indoor football halls depends largely on support from local governments, and their operation would not be sustainable under purely market-based conditions.
