Abstrakt
Viimase dekaadi jooksul on mustikate kasvatamine aina suuremat populaarsust kogunud, seda nii tootmisistandustes kui ka koduaedades. Poolkõrge mustikas ‘Are’ on esimene Eestis aretatud sort, siiski on sordi ja kasvukoha vahelise mõju kohta avaldatud väga vähe andmeid.
Bakalaureusetöö eesmärgiks on välja selgitada sordi ‘Are’ viljade biokeemiliste ühendite sisaldus kahes erinevas kasvukohas: Eesti Maaülikooli Rõhu katsejaamas ja Polli Aiandusuuringute keskuses.
Töö raames analüüsiti marjade antotsüaanide, fenoolsete ühendite, orgaaniliste hapete ja marjamahla kuivaine sisaldust ja hinnati kuidas erinevad kasvukohad neid näitajaid mõjutavad. Marjamahla kuivaine ja orgaanilised happed määrati kahel aastal (2023 ja 2024) ning antotsüaanide ja plüfenoolide üldsisaldus ühel aastal (2024).
Katse tulemustest selgus, et kasvukoht mõjutab mõningate biokeemiliste ühendite sisaldust. Rõhu katsejaamas oli antotsüaanide sisaldus kõrgem. Samuti oli mõlemal katseaastal viljamahla kuivaine sisaldus Rõhu katsejaamas kõrgem. 2024. aastal oli orgaaniliste hapete sisaldus Pollis kõrgem. Saadud tulemusi saab kasutada poolkõrge mustika kasvatustehnoloogiate täiustamisel, sobivamate kasvukohtade valikult.
Over the past decade, blueberry cultivation has gained increasing popularity, both in commercial plantations and home gardens. The half-highbush blueberry cultivar ‘Are’ is the first cultivar bred in Estonia. However, very little data has been published on how the variety performs in different locations. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to determine how two different sites, the Rõhu Experimental Station of the Estonian University of Life Sciences and the Polli Horticultural Research Centre, affect the biochemical content of the half-highbush blueberry cultivar ‘Are’ fruits. The soluble solids content, anthocyanin content, total phenol content, and organic acids were analyzed. Soluble solids content and organic acid content were analyzed in 2023 and 2024, while total phenol content and anthocyanin content were analyzed in 2024. The results of the experiment showed that the location influences the content of certain biochemical compound content. The Rõhu Experimental Station had higher levels of anthocyanins. Additionally, in both test years, the soluble solids content of the berries was higher at the Rõhu site. In 2024, the organic acid content was higher at Polli. These results can be used to improve half-highbush blueberry cultivation technologies by selecting more suitable growing sites.
