Abstrakt
Käesoleva bakalaureusetöö eesmärgiks on anda ülevaade Hiiumaal leiduva eripärase lepapuistuLuidja
lepiku ning Heistesoo hübriidlepa seisukorrast. Uurimisteema valikul sai määravaks
ajakohase info ja uute andmete puudumine ehk viimastel aastatel ei ole neid objekte
põhjalikumalt uuritud ja analüüsitud.
Uurimistöö käigus rajati kaks proovitükki 1901. -1903. aastail Luidja külla liivaluidete
kinnistamise eesmärgil istutatud sanglepapuistusse ehk Luidja lepikusse ning kirjeldati puistu
mullaprofiil.
Heistesoo hübriidlepp takseeriti ning võrreldi lehtede taksonoomilist kuuluvust varasemate
uurimustega, samuti kirjeldati tekkinud loodusliku uuenduse olukorda.

Takseerimiste käigus kogutud mõõtmisandmed koondati süsteemsetesse Microsoft Exceli abil
loodud tabelitesse ning võrreldi saadud tulemusi kirjanduse ning metsastatistika andmetega.
Uurimisobjektidelt kogutud bioloogiline materjal kuivatati ning dokumenteeriti digitaalselt.
Välitööde raames tehtud mulla sügavkaeve põhjal määrati olulisemad mullanäitajad.
Olulisemate tulemustena leiti, et pinnaseerosiooni tõkkeks rajatud sanglepa kultuurpuistu
Hiiumaal Luidja külas on täitnud oma eesmärki hästi, olles samaaegselt metsakasvatuslikus
mõistes väga produktiivne. Samas tuleb märkida, et võrreldes viimaste avaldatud andmetega on
sanglepa osakaal Luidja lepikus hakanud erinevatel põhjustel vähenema. Heistesoo lepa
hindamisel ning herbariseeritud lehtede uurimisel leiti, et isendi lehtedel esinevad halli- ja
sanglepa hübridiseerumisel tekkinud hübriidlepale iseloomulikud tunnused.
Saadud informatsiooni ja tulemusi saab kasutada edaspidi samalaadsete koosluste kirjeldamisel
ja analüüsimisel. Luidja lepiku arengukäigu põhjal võib eeldada, et sarnase puistu rajamine
annaks häid tulemusi kaasajal kasutusvõimalusteta jäätmaade taasmetsastamisel. Samuti leidis
kinnitust, et Heistesoo hübriidlepp on võimeline andma järelkasvu, mis tähendab, et looduslikult
hübridiseerunud isendid on suutelised iseseisvalt reprodutseeruma.
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to give an overview about Luidja black alder stand and of Heistesoo hybrid alder – both of them growing on the island of Hiiumaa. Absence of recent data became decisive in the case of choosing subjects to study and analyze in this thesis. During the study measurements in Luidja black alder (Alnus glutinosa) stand were carried out and documented. Additionally the soil profile was investigated and described. On the case of Heistesoo hybrid alder (Alnus incana x Alnus glutinosa) tree measurements were also carried out and the morphology of collected leaves was compared to literary descriptions about hybrid alders. Also the naturally reproduced young trunk next to the old tree was sighted and described as well. The leaves of hybrid alder were thoroughly dried and digitally documented. The soil pit was excavated for investigation and characteristics of the soil profile were described and photos taken. This research reveals that Luidja black alder stand, cultivated to avoid soil erosion of the sand dunes near Luidja village has fulfilled its purpose. Furthermore the black alder stand demonstrated good growth and yield data. However it can be said that the standing volume of black alder in Luidja alder forest has started to decrease due to age. Study of the Heistesoo alder showed that studied characteristics response to the traits of hybrid alders. Information collected and analyzed in current bachelor’s thesis can be used to describe other similar subjects and areas. The study about Luidja black alder stand shows that areas with similar soil erosion problems can be solved and successfully cultivated by planting alder seedlings. Also it can be said that Heistesoo alder is able to regeneratee naturally.
