Abstrakt
Töö põhineb 2008 a alustatud Eesti Maaülikooli Põllumajandus ja keskkonnainstituudi poolt loodud pikaajalisel katsel, mille katselapid asuvad Eerikal. Antud töös on kasutatud 2020 a kogutud umbrohtude proove, mille põhjal on määratud arvukus ja biomass m2.
This research is based on a long-term experiment located at Eerika where Estonian University of Life Science test fields area. The aim of this research was to study effect of winter cover crops and their combination with cattle manure on weediness and crop yield of barley in three different organic farming systems. Weeds samples were collected in 2020 where abundance and biomass are designated on an area of m2. Also, barley yield is demonstrated at the results. The test was conducted in long-term field experiment. Mahe 0 is control variant. Variant Mahe I is winter rye grown as a winter cover crop. Variant Mahe II is winter rye grown as a winter cover crop and composted cattle manure 10 t ha-1 was added to the soil. The study indicated that winter cover crops suppresses weeds. Winter rye as cover crop can suppress annual weeds. Also, the results showed that barley yield was the highest at Mahe II variant. This year to get maximum crop yield only winter cover crop was not enough to reach high yield. To exceed high results composted cattle manure was needed to get fine results.
