Eestis on suured põhjavee varud ning vee kvaliteet on üldjoones hea. Ühisveevärgi vesi
peab olema puhastatud sedavõrd, et oleks kaitstud inimeste tervis. See, mil määral tuleb
Töö eesmärk on katsetada stendil olevate mahtfiltrite puhastusvõimet, koostada
kasutusjuhend ja anda soovitusi stendi kasutamiseks õppevahendina.
Puhastusvõime katsetamisel kasutati kahte vett: karedat ühisveevärgivett ja rauarikast
toorvett. Veepehmendamise katsetamisel saadud tulemused olid ligilähedased arvutuslikult
saadud tulemustega. Stendil olev veepehmendusseade ammendub 250 l juures.
Rauaärastuse katsetamisel ammendub täielikult liivafilter 85 l juures, aktiivsöe filter 279 l
juures.
Õppevahendina kasutamiseks testiti stendi messidel ja festivalidel. Tulevikus on stendil
võimalik uurida uudseid filtermaterjale ja erinevaid voolurežiime ning kasutada õppestendi
nii vesiehituse ja veekaitse eriala õppekavas kui ka gümnaasiumi ja põhikooli õppetöös.
There are large groundwater reserves in Estonia and water quality is generally good. The quality of public water supply has to meet the demands of human health. The extent to which water is further treated to meet the requirements of household appliances and heating equipment is left to each customer. To get an overview of the water treatment technologies, a water treatment stand which was called ‘the water kitchen', was designed and built at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, Chair of Rural Building and Water Management. The water treatment devices on the stand are compact, transparent and connected with quick couplings. The stand is easily transportable and can be operated on both public water supply and on transported water. The aim of the work was to test the purification capacity of filters, to draw up a user manual and to make recommendations for the use of the stand as a teaching tool. Two waters were used in experiments: hard water from public waterworks and raw groundwater with high iron content. The results of the tests were close to the calculated ones. The iron removal using sand filter was exhausted after passing 85 l, using activated carbon after 279 l and the water softener was exhausted after 250 l. The stand was exposed at trade fairs and festivals. Based on these public activities, the instructions were composed to use it as a teaching tool. In the future, it is possible to study any novel filter media and test various hydraulic regimes: Also, it is recommended to use a stand in the curriculum in the field of water engineering and water protection; as well as in the study programs of upper and lower secondary schools.
