Abstrakt
Puu vanus on üks olulisemaid tunnuseid, mille abil puid ja puistuid iseloomustatakse ning
metsade majandamist reglementeeritakse. Puude vanuse määramiseks loetakse puudel
oksakodarikke, puursüdamikel või kändudel aastarõngaid. Puude vanust võib mõjutada palju
faktoreid, mis muudavad aastarõnga laiust ja kuju, mis teeb aastarõngaste lugemist
raskemaks. Puu vanuse määramine on oluline metsamajanduslike tegevuste hindamisel ja ka
keskkonnakahju suuruse määratlemisel ning puistu vanuse alusel on riigiasutused
metsaomanikke ka karistanud.
Bakalaureusetöö eesmärgiks on hinnata puu vanuse praktilise määramise täpsust raielankidel
kändudelt aastarõngaste lugemisel, samuti analüüsida erinevate mõõtjate tulemusi ja kännu
pinna lihvimise mõju ning hinnata kuivõrd varieeruvad olid puistuelementides (mõlemal
raielangil mänd ja kuusk) puude vanused võrrelduna metsainventeerimise andmetega. Töös
kasutatud andmed on kogutud Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskuse kahe raielangi PW046-2 ja
KJ170-8 kändudelt. Mõlemalt langil võeti juhusliku valiku alusel 20 kännult proovikeha.
Töös selgus, et keskmiselt oli eksimus lihvimata proovitükkidel 11,7 aastat kus hinnati
proovitükke tegelikkusest vanusest nooremaks. Lihvitud proovitükkide ja tegelikkuse vanuse
erinevus on ilma luubita lugedes 5,8 aastat ja luubiga lugedes 4 aastat, mõlemal lugemisel
hinnati proovitükid tegelikkusest nooremaks.
Tree age is one of the most important characteristics by which trees and stands are characterized and forest management is regulated. To determine the age of trees, twig branches on trees or annual rings on stumps are considered. The age of trees can be affected by many factors that change the width and shape of the annual ring, which makes it more difficult to read the annual rings. Determining the age of a tree is important in assessing forest management activities and also in determining the extent of environmental damage, and therefore state owners have also unfairly punished forest owners. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the accuracy of determining the age of trees in felling sites when reading annual rings, as well as to analyze the results of different measures and the effect of stump surface grinding. The data used in the work have been collected from the stumps of two felling sites PW046-2 and KJ170-8 of the State Forest Management Center. Samples were taken from 20 stumps by random selection on both sample. The study revealed that the average error in uncut plots was 11.7 years, where the plots were assessed to be younger than the actual age. The difference between the age of the polished plots and the actual age is 5.8 years when reading without a magnifying glass and 4 years when reading with a magnifying glass, in both readings the plots were judged to be younger than reality.
