Abstrakt

Pea crops are unable to realize their genetic potential, and yields are reduced due to unfavourable abiotic factors inherent in the semi-arid zone. The research aimed to determine the separate and integrated effects of biostimulants and microbial inoculant on the formation of root nodules, assimilation apparatus, and yield of pea of the Devyz variety in the semi-arid conditions of the Steppe of Ukraine. The biostimulants Stimpo (St), Regoplant (Rp), and microbial inoculant Rhyzohumin (Rhh) were used for pre-sowing treatment, and then biostimulants foliar treatment of pea crops was applied in the budding phase at concentrations described in the methodology. It was found that under the combined use of biostimulants with inoculant, the number of nodules and their weight increased by 33–40% and 9–17% respectively, compared with variants where preparations were used separately. The studied preparations increased the leaf area index of pea crops by up to 1.5 times (BBCH 12–17) and 1.6 times (BBCH 51–79). The combined use of Rhh+St and Rhh+Rp allowed the formation of a larger leaf surface area of pea crops. In the case of the integrated effect of Rhh+St and Rhh+Rp, the net productivity of photosynthesis of pea exceeded the indicator of the variants with separate application of the preparations on BBCH 61–79. Improvement of crop structural elements increased pea yield by 3.0%, 4.5%, 7.9%, 17.9%, and 13.9% compared with the control when using Rhh, St, Rp, Rhh+St, and Rhh+Rp, respectively. The obtained data indicate the presence of a combined interaction between biostimulants and microbial inoculant.
