arutelusid. Noored on üha osavõtlikumad sarnastes aruteludes. Metsanduse teemal on läbi
Tulemuste
analüüsimisel keskenduti eeltoodud valdkondi mõjutavate tegurite uurimisele ning
teemade vaheliste seoste leidmisele.
Küsimustiku tulemuste analüüsist ilmnes mitmeid noorte teadmisi, käitumisharjumusi,
suhtumist ja väärtushinnanguid mõjutavaid tegureid. Enim omasid mõju õpilaste
teadmised.
Metsanduslike teadmiste eest madalama hinde saanud õpilased on vähem rahul
Eesti metsade majandamisega ning Eesti metsade elurikkusega, võrreldes kõrgema hinde
saanud õpilastega. Samuti on raie mahtu liiga suureks pidavate õpilaste hulk teadmiste
Forestry has important role in Estonian society and there is a lot of discussion around forestry. Young people are more and more taking part in those discussions. There are a lot of questionnaire based researches that are focused on forestry, but there are no such studies in Estonia and only few in Europe, that are focused on youth. Objective of Bachelor´s Thesis is to research high school students forest related knowledge, stand, behavior habits and values. In order to achieve those objectives, questionnaire was hand out to South Estonian high school and vocational school students. 111 replies to survey was gathered. Focus of analysis was on researching what aspects have impact on above-mentioned topics and detecting correlations. Analysis of survey results revealed that there are many factors influencing forest related knowledge, behavior and habits. Knowledge was most important of them. For instance students who thought that proportion of protected forest in Estonia is severely insufficient also guessed that proportion is significantly smaller, compared with students who thought that proportion was sufficient. Students who received lover grade about forest related knowledge are less pleased with current management of Estonian forest and evaluate biodiversity with lover evaluation, compared to students who received higher grade. Also there were more students who assessed felling volume as too large among students who received lover grade, compared to students who received higher grade. Students who lived in rural settlements have different stand of forestry and also they visit forest more often, compared to students who live in towns. Also students gender, forest related behavior habits, student’s home county, age and relation with forest had notable influence.
