Abstrakt
Eesti ühiskonnas on tekkinud negatiivne hoiak lageraiete suhtes, inimestele ei meeldi
lageraiejärgsed raiesmikud. Seepärast otsitakse lageraiele alternatiivseid majandamise viise,
millega inimesed oleksid rohkem rahul. Töö eesmärk on selgitada erinevate
uuendusraieviiside majandamismudeleid ning võrrelda turberaiete ja lageraie tulusust puistu
majandamisel. Töös kasutati Järvselja õppe- ja katsemetskonnas asuva turberaiete katseala
häilraie ja aegjärkse raie ala andmeid ja modelleeriti edasist majandamist. Ökonoomilisel
võrdlemisel kasutati rahavoogude puhasnüüdisväärtuse meetodit. Võrreldi kuut erinevat
majandamise stsenaariumi kahe erineva pikkusega perioodil. Esimesel juhul tehti arvutus 18
aasta kohta, mille jooksul tehakse turberaie kolm järku. Teisel juhul arvutati peatumatult
korduvate raiete puhasnüüdisväärtus. Häilraie puhasnüüdisväärtus 18 aasta pikkuselt
perioodilt oli raha ajaväärtust arvestamata suurem kui lageraiega majandamisel. Intressi
arvestades aga kujuneb metsaomanike jaoks tulusaimaks lageraie koos järgneva loodusliku
uuenemisega ja nii igas majandamismudelis. Lõpmatult korduvate tsüklite puhul on samuti
tulusaim lageraie koos loodusliku uuenemisega.
A negative attitude towards clear-cutting has emerged in Estonian society, people do not like the clearings after clear-cutting. Therefore, alternative management methods to clear-cutting are being sought, with which people would be more satisfied. The aim of this work is to explain the management models for different types of fellings and to compare the profitability of shelterwood system and clear cutting in forest management. The study used data from a shelterwood experimental area in Järvselja õppe- ja katsemetskond and modelled future management. The net present value of cash flows method was used for economic comparison. Six different management scenarios were compared for two periods of different lengths. In the first case, the calculation was made for 18 years, during which three successive harvests are carried out. In the second case, the net present value was calculated for continuously repeated harvests. The net present value of shelterwood harvesting over the 18-year period was higher than under clear-cut management, without taking into account the time value of money. However, taking into account the interest rate, clear-cutting with subsequent natural regeneration is the most profitable for forest owners, and this is the case in all management models. In the case of infinitely repeated cycles, clear-cutting with natural regeneration is also the most profitable.
