Süsiniku sidumisele pühendatakse aasta-aastalt järjest rohkem tähelepanu ning
põllumajandusel on siinkohal mängida väga tähtis roll, kuna muldades peitub suur osa
maismaa süsinikust. Töö eesmärgiks oli uurida, kuidas on perioodi 2016–2021 jooksul
ettevõtte Viksi OÜ põldudel mulla orgaanilise süsiniku (Corg) sisaldus muutunud, kui
suured on olnud süsinikusisendid mulda ja millised kultuurid on suurima
süsinikusisendiga, lisaks uuriti, milline on süsinikusisendi ja süsinikuvaru muutuse
vaheline seos. Töö viidi läbi empiirilise uurimusena, materjalidena kasutati veebiartikleid,
kirjalikke allikaid, Viksi OÜ põlluraamatute andmeid ja mullaproovide analüüsitulemusi.
Süsinikusisendid varieerusid vahemikus 0,16 t/ha (madala saagikusega suvioder) aastas
kuni 7,88 t/ha (punane ristik) aastas. Suurima süsinikusisendiga kultuurideks osutusid
punane ristik, talirukis, põldhernes ja kaer. Väiksema süsinikusisendiga kultuurid olid
suvioder, talinisu ja tatar. Viksi OÜ põldudel on kuue aasta jooksul üheksast põllust kuuel
Corg sisaldus tõusnud, ühel jäänud samaks ja kahel langenud. Süsinikusisendi ja -varu
muutuse vahel esines positiivne seos. Käesolev töö võiks aidata põllumajandustootjatel
teha otsuseid, milliseid kultuure on mõistlik kasvatada süsinikusisalduse tõstmiseks
mullas ning näidata, kuidas saagikus mõjutab erinevate kultuuride puhul süsinikusisendit.
More and more attention is being paid to carbon sequestration every year and agriculture has a very important role to play here, as soils contain a large proportion of Earth´s carbon. The aim of the study was to investigate how the content of soil organic carbon (Corg) has changed in the fields of Viksi OÜ during the period of 2016–2021, how large the carbon inputs have been and which crops have the highest carbon input. In addition, the relationship between carbon input and changes in the soil carbon stock was investigated. The work was carried out as an empirical study. Web materials, written sources, data from Viksi OÜ field books and analysis results of soil samples were used as information sources. Carbon inputs ranged from 0.16 t/ha (low yield spring barley) per year to 7.88 t/ha (red clover) per year. The crops with the highest carbon input were red clover, winter rye, field peas and oats. The lower carbon crops were spring barley, winter wheat and buckwheat. In the fields of Viksi OÜ, the soil stock of Corg in six of the nine fields has increased in six years, remained the same in one and decreased in two. There was a positive relationship between the change in carbon input and change of soil carbon stocks. This work could help farmers to decide which crops are wise to grow to increase the carbon content of the soil and to show how yields affect the carbon input of different crops.
