Abstrakt
Energiatarbe suurenemise tõttu on vaja inimkonnal suurendada energiatootmist, kuid selle
suurendamiseks on vaja välja selgitada milline energiatehnoloogia on võimeline tagama
energiat loodussäästlikult. Inimkond on viimasel ajal väga suures sõltuvuses just
fossiilsetest kütustest ning nendega tekib suurel kogusel emissioone, mis põhjustavad
atmosfääri saastumist. Liigse fossiilsete kütuste kasutamisel ei suudeta tagada jätkusuutlik
keskkond ning selleks puhuks on vaja leida alternatiive nendele kütustele, mingi sellise
energiatehnoloogia näol, mis on taastuv. Selle töö eesmärgiks oli võrrelda erinevaid
energiatehnoloogiaid, mida tänapäeval energiatootmiseks kasutatakse. Võrdlus on tehtud
kahe sarnase, kuid erineva energiatehnoloogia kaudu ning nendeks tehnoloogiateks on
biomassist ja kivisöest energia tootmine. Autor soovitab kaaluda biomassi kasutamist
fossiilsete kütuste lisandina kuna selle efektiivne energia suhe ei ole sama suur, kuid
seeläbi saab vähendada emissioonide hulka. Samuti võib kasutada biomassi energia
tootmiseks kohtades, kus ligipääs fossiilsetele kütustele on puudulikud.
Due to increasing of energy consumption the mankind has to increase production of energy and for that reason it is needed to figure out which of the energy technology can produce energy the most environment-friendly way. World is heavily dependent on fossil fuels and these fuels are very emmission heavy therefore they cause pollution of atmosphere. Using fossil fuels for energy production is not sustainable for our environment and for that matter alternative fuels needs to be considered. This research purpose is to compare different energy technologies which are commonly used in nowaday society. The comparison of two similar yet different technologies are carried out to give feedback on which technology is more cost-effective. The comparison is made between fossil fuel representative coal and biomass. Author suggest to concider using biomass as fuel addative to the coal due to its effective energy ratio is considerably lower than it is of fossil fuels yet biomass could serve well in lowering pollution levels. Biomass could be considered for usege in places where there is no access to the fossil fuels.
