Abstrakt
Aastal 2020 alustas töö autor Järvselja Õppe- ja Katsemetskonda marteloskoobi näidisala rajamist. Töö eesmärgiks oli mõõta kõik alale jäävad puud ja nende asukohtade koordinaadid. Ala sai osaliselt valmis bakalaureusetöös, mida autor jätkas magistritöös.
Magistritöö eesmärgiks on uurida, kas ala on kasutatav tagasiside andmiseks alal teostatavate raievaliku harjutuste tegemisel. Koguda katseisikute poolt looduses valitud puude andmed ja analüüsida need Microsoft Excel andmetöötlus keskkonnas.
Raievaliku analüüsimiseks koostas töö autor raievaliku eelse ja järgse diameetri- ja kõrgusjaotused. Arvutas puistu takseerandmed enne harjutuste läbiviimist ja harjutuste järel.
Andmete analüüsimisel selgus, et viiest katseisikust kolm teostasid alal harvendusraie alameetodil. Kaks kasutasid ülameetodit ja saavutasid seadusega etteantud piirmäärale lähema tulemuse kui teised.
Autor jõudis järeldusele, et ala on kasutatav, kuid tagasiside andmise kiirendamiseks oleks tarvis andmed ühendada suuremasse olemasolevasse andmebaasi, mis haldab neid ja võimaldab anda tagasiside katseisikule vahetult looduses.
Kogutud andmeid saab kasutada nii ruumiliseks analüüsimiseks kui ka virtuaalse harvenduse harjutuse ettevalmistuseks tahvelarvutil, mis kiirendab protsessi ja aitab paremini talletada kogutud andmeid.
In 2020, the author began establishing a marteloscope sample plot in Järvselja Training and Experimental Forest Disctrict. The goal was to measure and map all trees within the plot. The area was partially completed in the author’s bachelor’s theses, which was then continued in a master’s thesis. The objective of the master’s thesis is to undesterstand whether the area can be used for feedback on tree selection excercises within the plot. The aim is to collect data on the selected trees in the field and analyze it using Microsoft Excel and R. To analyze the selection cuts, the author created pre-and post-cut diameeter and height distributions. The stand inventory data was calculated both before and after the excercises. The analysis revealed that three out of five participants performed thinning using low thinning method. Two used the crown thinning method and achieved results closer to the legally prescribed liimits than the others. The author concluded that the area is usable for its intented purpose. However to accelerate feedback, it would be necessary to integrate the data into a larger database that manages data and allows for immediate feedback to participants in the field. The collected data can be used for spatial analysis and for preparing virtuaal thinning excersies on a mobile tablet, which would speed up the process and help retain the collect data.
