Abstrakt
Käesolevas töös uuriti Tartu-Koidula rongiliini ajaloolist pärandit. Töö sisaldab nii
teoreetilist kui ka praktilist osa. Teoreetilises peatükis kirjeldati rongiliini alates
algusaastatest kuni tänapäevani, toodi välja vahepealsed takistused ja tõrked, käsitleti
jaamahoonete rajamist rongiliini ehituse ajal ja sõiduplaanide kujunemist. Liini avamine
andis tõuke mitmete sealsete külade ja asulate arengule. Praktiline osa on töö põhiline
eesmärk, mis hõlmab ajaloolise pärandi aspekti. Uurimaks, kas ja kuidas mõtestavad
rongiliini kasutajad Tartu-Koidula rongisõitu ajaloolise pärandi seisukohalt, püstitati
hüpotees ning koostati küsimustik. Lähtuti raudteeliini pikast ajaloost (sh jaamahooned,
ootekojad ja -platvormid, muud raudteeobjektid, veerem) ning tunnetuslikust osast
(sõitjate mälestused, kogemused ja hoiakud). Töö tulemusena jõuti järeldusele, et TartuKoidula
rongiliini puhul on tegemist rikkaliku ajaloolise pärandiga ning tänapäeva
rongireisijad tajuvad lisaks praktilisele sõiduvajadusele raudteeliini ajaloolist tausta.
This bachelor’s thesis explores the historical heritage of Tartu-Koidula railway line. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical chapter describes the period spanning from the initial years of the line until today, identifies the obstacles and setbacks during that period, deals with the building of stations during the construction of the line, development of timetables. Opening of the line gave an impetus to the development of several villages and settlements along the line. The practical part relates to the main aim of the thesis concerning the aspect of historical heritage. In order to explore whether and how the current users of the railway line conceive the train ride between Tartu and Koidula in terms of the historical heritage, the research hypothesis was formulated and a questionnaire was prepared. The focus was on the long history of the line (including station buildings, shelters and platforms, other railway infrastructure objects, rolling stock) and people’s perceptions (recollections, experiences and attitudes of the passengers). As a result of the work, it was concluded that Tartu-Koidula railway line constitutes rich historical heritage and today’s rail passengers also perceive the historical background of the railway line in addition to the practical transport needs.
