Abstrakt
Antud bakalaureusetöö eesmärgiks on hinnata puistu koosseisu ning lamapuidu mahtu
neljakümne kaheksal proovitükil, mis on EELIS-e (Eesti Looduse Infosüsteem) andmetel
hinnatud Natura 2000 „Vana loodusmetsa“ elupaigatüübiks.
Töös hinnatavad proovitükid asusid Valga, Tartu, Põlva ja Ida-Viru maakondades ning nende
mõõtmine toimus 2015 aasta juunist kuni augustini. Hinnatakse puistu koosseisu, surnud
puude, tüügaste ja kändude ning lamapuidu mahtu ning andmeid on analüüsitud MS Exceli
keskkonnas.
Tulemustest selgus, et enim lamapuitu, surnud puid, tüükaid ning inim- ja loodustekkelisi
kände esineb jänesekapsa-mustika kasvukohatüübis ning sihtkaitsevööndis.
Proovitükkidel esines elusate ja surnud puude osakaalus enim mändi. Ohtralt olid esindatud
ka kuusk, kask ning haab. Kasvukohatüübiti esines ka teisi puuliike, kuid nende mahud
polnud võrreldes eespool mainitud liikidega märkimisväärsed.
Surnud puud, tüükad, lamapuit ja kännud on elupaigaks paljudele liikidele, mistõttu on nad
tähtis metsaökosüsteemi osa.
This Bachelor’s thesis aim is to evaluate the mixture of tree species and deadwood on forty eight sample plots that are presented as Natura 2000 habitat type “Western taiga” in EELIS (Estonian Nature Information System) database. The sample plots were located in Eastern part of Estonia (Valga, Tartu, Põlva and Ida-Viru county). The sample plots were measured in 2015. The stand density and deadwood assessment was made and data anlalysed by using MS Excel. Results showed that the highest amount of dead wood, snags, dead trees and stumps occurred in Oxalis–Vaccinium myrtillus site type and in managed zones. In living and dead trees volume the dominant species was Scots pine Pinus sylvestrys. Norway spruce Picea abies , birch Betula sp. and aspen Populus tremula also had a high proportion in the sample plots volume. Other tree species variated also on sample plots, but their volume wasn’t as remarkable as the formentioned species. Dead wood, like snags, stumps and logs are important habitat for many species. Therefore these elements are important components of forest ecosystem.
