Abstrakt
Magistritöö eesmärk on hinnata mahepõllumajanduse konkurentsivõimet taimekasvatuse
tootmistüübis, võrrelda omavahel tava- ja mahetootjate näitajaid. Eesmärgi saavutamiseks
kasutati teiseseid andmeid, mis pärinevad koostööst Maamajanduse Infokeskuse ning Eesti
Maaülikooliga. Teoreetilises osas käsitleti konkurentsivõimet, tootlikkust ning
mahepõllumajanduse olemust ja arengut Eestis. Analüüsi koostamisel kasutati
tootlikkusnäitajaid, sest tootlikkus on üks põhitegur konkurentsivõime hindamisel. Tootjate
omavaheliseks võrdlemiseks teisendati andmed hektari kohta.
Mahepõllumajanduslike testettevõtete arv on igal aastal kasvanud. 2015. aastaks oli
mahepõllumajanduslikke testettevõtteid 26, mis andis võimaluse mainitud aasta andmete
põhjal hinnata ettevõtteid kolmes suurusgrupis – väike, keskmine, suur. Suurusgruppide
vahelisest analüüsist selgus, et väikese ettevõttena on kasumlikum toimetada, sest
kulutused on väiksemad.
Testettevõtete põhjal saab kinnitust asjaolu, et mahepõllumajanduse konkurentsivõime on
iga aasta kasvanud ning võib eeldada ka kasvutrendi jätkumist. Tarbijate teadlikkus
mahetoidu tervislikkusest kasvab pidevalt. Mahepõllumajanduslik tootmine areneb
koguaeg, sest iga lisanduv ettevõte toob endaga kaasa uued ideed mahetootmise
arendamiseks.
The aim of the current Master's thesis was to assess the competitiveness of organic farming cultivation in Estonia. To achieve the goal author used secondary data from cooperating Rural Economy Research Center and Estonian University of Life Sciences. The theoretical part describes competitiveness, productivity, and the nature and development of organic agriculture in Estonia. The analysis used productivity indicators, because productivity is a key factor in assessing competitiveness. For the comparison of producers the data are converted to hectare. The number of companies involved in organic farming and production volumes are growing every year. By year 2015, there were 26 organic farm companies, which provided an opportunity to assess data in three groups - small, medium, large. Groups analysis revealed that small businesses are more profitable to deliver because the costs are lower. However, from the companies which were chosen for sample companies, it is possible to confirm the fact that the competitiveness of organic farming has increased every year. The growth trend is expected to continue. Consumer awareness of organic food wholesomeness is constantly growing. Organic production is evolving all the time, because each additional company brings new ideas for the development of organic production.
