Katses olnud aretistest tasuks esile tuua ahtalehisemustika aretise 10//13, mille marjades
For the better planning of organic production, it is necessary for producers to have a choice between different fertilizers and cultivars. In blueberry production it is very important that used fertilizer does not reduce soil acidity. The selection of cultivars would allow to extend the production period and meet consumer demands for physical and chemical parameters of the berry. Aim of the present study was to find out how two fertilizers from Moneterra Malt series influence the chemical parameters, vegetative growth and yield of eight blueberry clones in abandoned peat field conditions. To achieve the goals, the productivity and fruit biochemical compostition of two lowbush blueberry and six half-high blueberry clones were analyzed in 2017 at the Marjasoo Talu. The hypothesis of this work was that blueberry plants had higher productivity and fruit had higher contents of bioactive compounds when using higher nitrogen content fertilizer, Monterra Malt 9-1-4, compared to Monterra Malt 4,5-2,5-8. The hypothesis was partially confirmed as using the Monterra Malt 9-1-4 fertilizer, the average results of leaf surface and width, fruit dry matter, soluble solids, soluble solids and organic acid ratio and pH of pureed berries were higher. In case of the berry width and ascorbic acid contents, the tendency was opposite. Different fertilizers did not affect the rest of the parameters. All parameters were scientifically affected by clones. From tested clones, two of the most noteworthy were lowbush clone 10/13, which fruits had anthocyanins contents higher than average and half-high blueberry clone 23//00 which had highest yield. Both clones have sweet berries and has shown a stable yield in previous years.
