Abstrakt
Suurkiskjate rünnakud inimestele on läbi sajandite olnud aktuaalsed, töös analüüsitakse
Euroopa ja Põhja-Ameerikas toimunud suurkiskjate rünnakuid.
Töö eesmärgiks on leida suurkiskjate rünnakute põhjused ja kas suurkiskjate rünnakud
inimestele on ajaga muutunud.
Uurimismetoodika oli Eesti ja välismaisete kirjanduse ja interneti allikate analüüsimine.
Töö tulemusest selgus, et suurkiskjate rünnakute põhjused on jäänud samaks. Hundi
ohtlikus inimestele on tänaseks vähenenud võrreldes minevikuga. Karude ohtlikus on
mingilmääral suurenenud. Puumade ohtlikus on jäänud samaks. Et suurkiskjate ohtlikus
ei suureneks minevikus olnud tasemele, peab suurkiskjates säilitama hirmu inimese ees.
Kui hirm kaob, suureneb rünnakute oht inimestele.
Over the centuries, large carnivore attacks on humans have been relevant in Europe and North America. The aim of this thesis is to find out the causes of large carnivore attacks and whether the attacks on humans have been changed over time. The research method consists Estonian, English and Russian literature and internet sources analysis. The results of this thesis revealed that, the reason why large carnivores attack humans has remained the same. Grey wolf attacks are decreased over the centuries. The risk of bears has somehow increased. Cougar attacks are increased or have remained the same. People can’t let large carnivore attacks increase to the level it was in the past for that, people have to maintain that large carnivores don’t lose their fear against humans. Because, when fear disappears, the risk of attacks on humans may increase.
