Käesolev bakalaureusetöö keskendub männitõrva tootmisele kui ühele metsa
kõrvalsaaduste tootmisharudest, mis on hakanud pärast 20. sajandil alanud pikaajalist
madalseisu uuesti elavnema. Keskkonnasõbralik männitõrv on uuesti saanud oluliseks
ehitusviimistlusmaterjaliks ning leidnud rakendust üha populaarsemaks saavate
tervisetoodete hulgas.
Käesoleva bakalaureusetöö eesmärk oli kirjeldada erinevaid männitõrva tootmise
tehnoloogiaid ning anda ülevaade männitõrva turustamisest alates 17. sajandist
tänapäevani nii Eestis kui ka teistes riikides.
Töös on kasutatud peamiselt arhiivmaterjalidele tuginevat eesti- ja soomekeelset
kirjandust, kaasaegseid ehitusajakirju ning internetilehekülgi. Lisaks intervjueeriti
Skandinaaviamaadesse.
The present Bachelor’s thesis focuses on the production of pine tar as one of the branches of production of forest’s by-products that has liven up after a long-lasting depression that started on the 20th century. Environment-friendly pine tar has become again an important finishing material in construction and found use in more and more popular health products. The aims of the present thesis were to describe different technologies of the production of pine tar and to give an overview of the marketing of pine tar in Estonia and other countries from the 17th century to nowadays. In the thesis there was mainly used Estonian and Finnish literature that is based on archive materials, modern building magazines and the Internet sites. Local pine tar producers of Estonia were also interviewed. There are two bigger pine tar producers in Estonia – Saare Tõrv OÜ and Tõrvas OÜ who sell their tar on local Estonian market. Eco Oil OÜ and Amello Grupp OÜ import their tar from elsewhere and manufacture wood finishing material that is marketed in Estonia and in Scandinavian countries.
