Abstrakt
Bakalaureusetöö eesmärgiks oli selgitada, millised tegurid mõjutavad päevaliilia tolmeldamist
ja idanemisvõimeliste seemnete arengut. Töö hüpoteesiks oli, et päevaliiliate tolmeldamise
edukus sõltub lähtevanematest, kuid kahjuks pole teada, millised tegurid täpsemalt mõjutavad
tolmeldamisel idanemisvõimeliste seemnete saamist. Sealjuures mõjutab Põhjamaades
tolmeldamist ka ilmastik.
Päevaliilia tolmeldamist mõjutab nii õie värvus kui ka nende lahtiolemise aeg. Tolmeldajatest
on värvieelistus pääsusabadel, kes külastavad punakaid õisi. Surulastele on värvist olulisem
õie lahtioleku aeg. Õie avanemisel on oluline roll ilmal, mis ebasoodsate tingimuste korral
võib õite avanemist kuni 3 tundi edasi lükata.
Idanemisvõimeliste seemnete arenguks on vajalik tagada õiged lähtevanemad. Lähtevanemad
peavad olema terved ja elujõulised. Parimaid tulemusi annab diploidsete päevaliiliate
omavaheline tolmeldamine, produktiivseid seemneid saab pea olematult triploidsete
päevaliiliate tolmeldamisel. Parim on kasutada värskeid tolmuteri. Eestis tuleks
tolmeldamiseks valida ilmastikukindlad ja pika õitseajaga aed-päevaliiliad.
Bachelor’s aim was to find out what factors influence the pollination of daylily and development of germinable seeds. Hypotheses was that daylilies pollination success depends on the source of parents, but unfortunately it is not known which factors specifically affecting the pollination of germinable seed production. In Nordic countries daylilies pollination is affected by weather. The aim of bachelor thesis is to find out what factors influence the pollination of daylilies. Pollination of daylily is affected both the color of flower and the time of their flowering. Swallowtails preferring reddish flowers. The time of flowering is more important for moths. The wether has an important role to play in flower opening, in adverse conditions, the flower will opening 3 hours later. Right parents must be provided for development of germinable seeds. Parents must be healthy and viable. The best results are achieved between pollination of diploid daylilies, the seed production of triploid daylily is not significant. It is best to use fresh pollen grains. In Estonia there should be use daylilies which are wether resistant and have a long flowering time.
