Abstract
Käesoleva töö raames uuriti mikrovetika Chlorella vulgaris Beyerincki võimet siduda CO2-te ja vetikamassi fotoautotroofset kasvatamist bioreaktoris. Töö eesmärgiks on välja selgitada, kas Chlorella vulgaris Beyerincki on võimalik kasutada energiasektoris tekkiva CO2 sidumiseks.

The aim of the study was to examine microalgae Chlorella vulgaris Beyerinck potential to capture CO2 and algae biomass autotrophic production in the photobioreactor. The work aims to find out whether Chlorella vulgaris Beyerinck is suitable species of microalgae to capture CO2 from the energy sector. During the study, the CO2 capture factors and algae biomass growth data was collected, and statistical analysis were performed. I found that the best rates for the CO2 capture and the algae biomass growth rates were performed, when microalgae was pre-cultivated under the low limits of the CO2 concentrations. Experimental results showed that Chlorella vulgaris Beyerinck can be used for the CO2 capture in the energy sector. The present master`s thesis is theoretical and practical research based on a various literature sources and information available on the Internet and experiments performed in the laboratory with the analysis of the results.
