dc.description.abstractTöö teoreetilises osas antakse ülevaade hobustega tallamise mõjust looduskeskkonnale. Tehtud on palju uuringuid tallamise mõjust pinnasele. Ratsutamise mõju keskkonnale on vähem uuritud, peamiselt USA-s ja Austraalias. Tuuakse välja ratsutamise erinevad mõjud pinnasele, taimkatte katvusele, kõrgusele ja liigilise koosseisu vähenemisele võrreldes teiste rekreatsiooni viisidega. Samuti tuuakse välja hobuse sõnniku mõju looduskeskkonnale. Magistritöö eesmärgiks oli välja selgitada ratsutamise mõju metsastunud luidete taimestikule. Pärnumaal Uulu-Võiste maastikukaitsealal viidi läbi hobustega tallamiskatsed varasemalt kahjustamata pinnasel kolmes erinevas kasvukohatüübis – pohla, mustika ja sambla. Teostati kokku 50, 125 ja 250 kordust. Töö tulemustest selgus, et soontaimede ja sammalde-samblike üldkatvus väheneb erinevates kasvukohatüüpides (pohla, mustika, sambla) oluliselt sõltumata hobustega tallamiskordade arvust. Samuti sõltub raja laius oluliselt tallamiskordadest. Raja sügavus sõltuvalt tallamiskordadest statistiliselt oluliselt ei erine, statistiliselt oluline muutus raja sügavuses on tallamata pinnasega (algtasemega) võrreldes. 50 ja 125 korda hobustega tallatud radade vahel olulist erinevust ei ilmne soontaimede ja sammalde-samblike üldkatvuses ega ka radade laiuses ja sügavuses. Tuginedes kirjandusele ja antud magistritöö tulemustele võib öelda, et ratsutamine juba madalal intensiivsusel mõjutab oluliselt looduskeskkonda ja seda negatiivses suunas. Sellega peaksid arvestama erinevad kaitsealad, looduspargid ja ka turismikorraldajad, kes pakuvad või planeerivad pakkuda ratsamatku erinevatesse looduskaunitesse kohtadesse.EST
dc.description.abstractA number of researches have been conducted on the influence of trampling on the soil cover. The influence of horseback riding as a way of intense trampling is a less studied field, except in the USA and Australia. Scientific literature proves that in comparison to the other types of recreation, the intense pressure of horse hoofs significantly accelerates the densifying and erosion of the soil, decreasing the vegetation cover, plant height and diversity. In addition to that horse manure has its special effect on natural environment. The aim of the present thesis is to evaluate the influence of horseback riding on the vegetation cover of the forested dunes. Horse trampling tests on untrampled soil in lingonberry, blueberry and moss habitat type forests were carried out on Uulu-Võiste Landscape Protection Area in Pärnumaa county, South-West Estonia. In each habitat type area there were two sample plots with three trampling tracks of 50, 125 and 250 passes, and one test track. The results show that the general cover of vascular plants, mosses and lichen remarkably diminished on all trampled tracks in all habitat types (lingonberry, blueberry, moss types) despite the number of horse passes. The depth of the track did not show any significant statistical differences depending on the number of horse passes. Still, the trampled tracks showed essential differences in depth in comparison to untrampled soil. As for the trampled tracks of 50 and 125 passes, there were no remarkable differences in the general cover either of vascular plants, or mosses and lichen. On the basis of scientific literature analysis and the results of the present thesis one can say that even low-intensity horseback riding gives negative effects on the natural environment. Tourism organizers in nature protection areas and nature parks should take that into consideration when providing, or planning to provide recreational services on unique landscape forms, especially in dune pine forests which are highly sensitive to horse trampling. It is important to the natural environment to lessen the influence of horseback riding on the environment by responsibly applying the appropriate means.en
