dc.description.abstractKäesolev magistritöö uurib, kuidas mõjutab UPM-Kymmene Otepää AS-i vineeritehases toodetud LNG-vineeri temperatuur pakendamisel nimetatud materjali füüsikalisi ja mehaanilisi omadusi tarneperioodi jooksul. Töö eesmärgiks oli välja selgitada, kas jahutamata materjali pakkimise tulemusel langevad materjali kvaliteediomadused oluliselt rohkem kui jahutatud materjali puhul ning lähtuvalt sellest anda ettevõttele soovitusi parema kvaliteedi saavutamiseks toodangu tarnimisel. Eesmärgi saavutamiseks koostati kaks katsegruppi. Ühe grupi puhul pakendati vahetult tootmisest tulnud jahutamata vineer. Nimetatud pakkimissüsteem on ettevõttes kasutusel igapäevaselt. Teise grupi puhul lasti materjalil enne pakkimist 12 tundi jahtuda. Mõlema katsegrupi tarbeks koostati viis vineeripakki, mis toimetati valmistoodangulattu. Iga üheksa päeva tagant avati mõlemast grupist üks pakk ning määrati pealmises, keskmises ja alumises kihis olevate vineeritahvlite niiskussisaldus, paindetugevus, elastsusmoodul ja survetugevus. Kogu katseperioodi pikkuseks oli 45 päeva. Analüüsi tulemusel selgus, et kahe katsegrupi vahel esinevad erinevused, kuid need pole piisavalt suured, et neid saaks statistiliselt olulisteks pidada. Ettevõttele soovitati siiski jahutada materjali enne pakkimist vähemalt 12 tundi, kuna jahutatud materjal käitus katse jooksul oluliselt stabiilsemalt, tagades paremad tulemused tugevusomadustes kogu tarneperioodi jooksul. dc.description.abstractThis master’s thesis investigates how the packaging temperature affects the physical and mechanical properties during the delivery period of LNG-plywood manufactured at the UPM-Kymmene Otepää AS plywood factory. The goal of this work was to determine whether packaging uncooled material causes a significant reduction in quality properties compared to packaging cooled material, and to give recommendations to the company for achieving better results. To achieve the goals, two test baches were formed. In the case of one batch, plywood was packaged uncooled, immediately after production. This method is used daily as the standard procedure in the company. In the case of the second batch, the material was allowed to cool for 12 hours before packaging. For both test batches, 5 packs of plywood were put together and transported to the end product warehouse. After every 9 days, a single pack from each batch was opened, and the moisture content, modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity and compressive strength was determined for plywood sheets from the top, middle and bottom layers of the pack. The duration of the test period was 45 days. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that there are differences between the two test batches, but they are not large enough to be statistically significant. Nevertheless, the company was recommended to allow the material to cool for at least 12 hours before packaging, because the cooled material displayed more stable performance during the test, ensuring better strength properties during the entire delivery period. This topic would require further research, using a shipping container as the storage environment and a 2,5 month test period.eng
