dc.description.abstractKäesolev magistritöö võrdleb saematerjali sorteerimismasinate defektide tuvastamise, lineaarmõõtmete määramise ja kvaliteediklassidesse jagamise täpsust. Selle töö eesmärk oli selgitada välja sorteerimismasinate tegelik võimekus ning leida Combimill Sakala OÜ-le kõige optimaalsem masin. Töö eesmärgi saavutamiseks koostati testpakk. Iga testitava laua/prussi kohta koostati skits materjalil olevate defektide täpseks kirjeldamiseks. Sorteerimismasinatest testiti Lisker OY masinat Profigrade TFE-6 Optima, Finscan OY masinat Boardmaster NovaSL ja Rema Sawco AB masinat BoardScannerQ. Teste viidi läbi kokku kolmel erineval konveieri liikumiskiirusel – 60, 80 ja 100 m/min. Masinate tuvastatud defektide täpsust võrreldi manuaalselt ja visuaalselt läbiviidud kontrollmõõtmistega. Tulemustest lähtudes tehti Combimill Sakala OÜ-le sobiliku masina soovitus. Magistritöö viimase osana arvutati igale masinale tasuvusaeg, lähtudes Combimill Sakala OÜ tootmismahtudest. Analüüsi tulemusena selgus, et kõige nõrgemaks osutusid Profigrade TFE 6-Optima tulemused, põhilisteks puudusteks lõhede, värvimuutuste ja vaigupesade ebapiisav tuvastamine. Boardmaster Nova-SL põhiline puudus oli valepositiivselt tuvastatud okste osakaal. Masina tugevaim külg on putukakäikude ja lõhede tuvastamine. BoardScannerQ suurima puudus on suutmatus tuvastada alla seitsmemillimeetriseid defekte. Positiivse poole pealt ei määra BoardScannerQ valepositiivseid oksi ning on täpne poomkandi ja värvimuutuste tuvastamisel. Combimill Sakala OÜ-le tehti soovitus oodata masina soetusega seni kuni on võimalik tutvuda Rema Sawco AB poolt loodud optimeerimise tarkvaraga.est
dc.description.abstractThis master’s thesis compares the accuracy of defect detection, determination of linear dimensions, and quality grading of different timber sorting machines. The goal of this thesis was to determine the actual capabilities of timber sorting machines and to find the most suitable machine for Combimill Sakala OÜ. A pack of test material was compiled in order to achieve the goal of the thesis. A sketch was drawn of every board used in the test to precisely outline the defects on each different board. Tested timber sorting machines were Lisker OY- Profigrade TFE-6 Optima, Finscan OYBoardmaster Nova-SL, and Rema Sawco AB- BoardScannerQ. Tests were conducted on three separate line speeds – 60, 80, and 100 m/min. The accuracy of defect detection performed by the machines was compared to manual verification measurements. Based on the results a suitable machine recommendation was made for Combimill Sakala OÜ. As a final part of this thesis a payback period was calculated for each different machine in accordance with the production output of Combimill Sakala OÜ. Results revealed that Profigrade TFE 6-Optima had the poorest results among the machines with the main shortcoming of identification of splits, discoloration, and resin pockets. The main shortcoming of Boardmaster Nova-SL was the proportion of false-positively identified knots. The strongest side of the machine was the identification of insect holes and splits. The biggest shortcoming of BoardScannerQ was the inability to identify defects that are smaller than seven mm. On a more positive note the BoardScannerQ does not determine falsepositive knots and was a point-device when identifying wane and discoloration.
